Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to Bajar ("we", "our" or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal information

We may collect the following personal information:

  • Name and email address
  • Profile picture (if provided)
  • Account credentials
  • Device information and identifiers

2.2 Usage information

We automatically collect information about how you use Bajar:

  • Tasks created and completed
  • XP earned and levels achieved
  • Feature usage and preferences
  • App performance data

2.3 App blocking during focus sessions (Android)

Focus mode can block distracting apps. The feature is optional, stays off until you enable it, and runs only while a focus session you started is active. It uses three Android permissions:

  • Accessibility Service — reads only the package name of the app that comes to the foreground, so Bajar can tell whether it is on your block list. It never reads the content of your screen, never captures what you type, and never records what you do inside other apps.
  • Usage Access — identifies the app in the foreground, for the same purpose.
  • Display over other apps — shows the reminder screen on top of a blocked app.

Package names observed by this feature are processed on your device only. They are not transmitted to our servers or to any third party, and are never used for advertising, profiling or analytics. Only the outcome of a session — its duration and how many times a blocked app was opened — is saved, so your focus statistics can be shown to you. You can revoke these permissions at any time in Android Settings; focus sessions keep working without app blocking.

2.4 App blocking during focus sessions (iOS)

The same optional feature on iOS uses Apple’s Screen Time APIs (Family Controls, Managed Settings and Device Activity). It stays off until you enable it, and applies only while a focus session you started is active. Bajar asks for individual authorisation: it restricts only the device you are holding, and is never used to manage anyone else’s device.

  • You choose which apps to block through Apple’s own system picker. Bajar never receives, and cannot read, the list of apps installed on your device.
  • Your choice is stored as opaque tokens issued by iOS. Bajar cannot turn a token back into an app name or identifier, and does not attempt to.

These tokens stay on your device. They are not transmitted to our servers or to any third party, and are never used for advertising, profiling or analytics. As on Android, only the outcome of a session — its duration and how many times a blocked app was opened — is saved, so your focus statistics can be shown to you. You can revoke Screen Time access at any time in iOS Settings; focus sessions keep working without app blocking.
